A native of Atlanta, Rev. Rico Miller has been committed to serving the community in his role as an ordained Associate Minister at Mt. Welcome Missionary Baptist Church and Senior Pastor of Rico Miller Ministries.
As a part of Rev. Miller’s servant-leader duties, he is a missionary leader, a teacher of discipleship and evangelism. He mentors youth and is a “feet on the street minister” when it comes to community outreach. Rev. Miller is currently the Chaplain for Omega Psi Phi Beta Lambda Lambda chapter.
Education is a constant pursuit for Rev. Rico Miller, who completed his undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations Management from DeVry University. Following his undergraduate work, he completed a Master’s of Science Degree in Human Resources from Keller Graduate School of Management. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Divinity and a Master of Science Degree in Leadership from Luther Rice Seminary. Rev. Rico is currently attending Emory University, pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry.
Having adopted the “Follower’s First and Servant” philosophy, his dedication to following God’s purpose and vision has made him an up and coming leader in the spiritual and business community. Rico is dedicated and devoted to “Discipleship and Evangelism” and has a passion for empowering others with the word of God. Rico believes that Servant Leadership is a walk of life and serves in all capacities and endeavors.
In the business community, Rev. Rico Miller serves at the helm as CEO and President of the Atlanta-based software-consulting firm, Universal Technical Services (UTS, Inc.). He is considered an astute businessman, visionary leader and in the breadth of true entrepreneurial spirit, he has owned and operated several businesses and partnered with several major corporations. He is a certified Executive Leadership and Life Coach, which helps empower others to reach their career and personal goals.
Rev. Rico is currently a licensed insurance agent and owner of Resilient Insurance Agency Inc. an independently owned insurance agency. He is also Co-founder of “The 7 Cords Foundation”, an organization that addresses social issues such as human/sex trafficking, domestic violence, and HIV/AIDS awareness. The foundation was created with a goal of empowering families to heal from within while developing healthy functional individuals and families.
Rev. Miller actively serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations that include: Board of Directors member of 100 Black Men – DeKalb Chapter, Board of Directors member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. STEM Leadership Team, Board of Directors for Ronald E McNair STEM Advisory Board and G3 Robotics Board of Directors. He is also an active member of the following organizations: The “Just Brothers” Organization, NAACP, Concerned Black Clergy of Atlanta, The Atlanta Association of Insurance Professionals, Community Advisory Council for the Morehouse College Chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success. With 100 Black Men of DeKalb and Omega Psi Phi, he has implemented the first STEM/ Drone programs for both chapters. Both organizations have sponsored over 250 kids, affording them an opportunity to participate in National STEM/Drone Competitions. In addition, Rev. Miller also participates as a member of the following auxiliaries: iRead, Communications committee, Financial literacy Trainer, and Leadership Academy.
Additionally, as a military veteran, he served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps.
